East Chatham, NY: Injuries Reported Following Accident on HWY

East Chatham, NY (June 11, 2019) – At least minor injuries resulted from a motor vehicle accident that took place on Highway 295 on Monday morning, June 10th. According to police, the crash happened at approximately 2:19 p.m. for reasons that have not been confirmed.
Emergency medical crews were summoned to the westbound lanes of the highway, between County Highway 9 and Elliott Road, to render aid to any injured victims. Authorities at the crash site were able to confirm that at least one person sustained injuries in the accident, although the nature of that victim’s condition has not been established at this time.
No more than two vehicles are believed to have played a part in the collision but police have not reported on exactly how many people were involved. Investigators are presently working to determine the cause of this incident.
