Bedford, NY – 17-Year-Old Girl Injured in Rollover Crash on Route 172

Bedford, NY (June 11, 2019) – On the morning of Monday, June 10th, police were sent to Route 172, underneath the Interstate 684 overpass in response to a motor vehicle accident with injuries. According to officials, the accident involved a Jeep Grand Cherokee and took place around 8:15 a.m.
The driver of the Jeep, identified only as a 17-year-old girl, was traveling east along the interstate when the vehicle went up a rock embankment. The Jeep subsequently rolled over onto its roof, and emergency medical crews were quickly summoned to the scene.
Authorities stated that the driver was removed from the Jeep and taken to Westchester Medical Hospital. The seriousness of her injuries has not been reported at this time.
Currently, the Bedford Police Department Accident Investigation Team is working to establish the events that caused this incident.
