Rensselaerville, NY: Authorities Release Identity of Teen Killed

Rensselaerville, NY (June 10, 2019) – The Albany County Sheriff’s Department has released the identity of the young woman who was sadly killed in a car accident that took place on Sunday, June 9th. 19-year-old Emily Fydenkevez, of Middleburgh, died after the vehicle she was riding in crashed at the intersection of Pond Hill Road and County Road 10 at approximately 2:30 a.m.
According to deputies, Harley A. Kelly, 19, was driving with Fydenkevez in the passenger seat when their vehicle crashed at the aforementioned location. Police and emergency medical responder arrived at the scene, where they tragically pronounced Fydenkevez deceased. Kelly was hospitalized with unspecified injuries and simultaneously arrested for driving while intoxicated, among other violations.
Authorities have stated that the investigation into the incident is ongoing at this time, as no further details have been provided.
