Rensselaerville, NY – Teen Killed in Crash Caused by Drunk Driver

Rensselaerville, NY (June 10, 2019) – According to the Albany County Sheriff’s Department, a 19-year-old woman was tragically killed following a motor vehicle accident caused by a drunk driver on Sunday, June 9th. The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Pond Hill Road and County Road 10.
Deputies stated that only one car is believed to have been involved in the crash, which took place after the driver, identified as 19-year-old Harley A. Kelly, lost control of the vehicle. When medical crews arrived at the scene, they found Kelly injured and one passenger unresponsive.
Despite the efforts used to revive the passenger, she was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. At this time, the deceased victim has only been identified as a 19-year-old female from Middleburgh. Kelly was arrested for DWI, as well as several other vehicle and traffic violations. The investigation is currently ongoing.
