Chester, NY – Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Route 17

Chester, NY (June 10, 2019) – On Sunday, June 9th, a man sadly died in a serious motorcycle accident that took place along Route 17 in Orange County. The crash happened around 4:05 p.m. near Exit 27, according to state police.

Authorities have stated that 35-year-old Anthony Santiago, of Garnerville, lost control of the motorcycle he was riding for reasons that are currently under investigation. According to police, Santiago was traveling west along Route 17 and ultimately struck a guardrail on the northern side of the roadway.

Emergency medical crews were among the responders who arrived at the crash site, where Santiago was pronounced deceased. At this time, state police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to please call 845-782-8311 with any information. No further details have been provided.
