Staten Island, NY: Children Injured in Car Accident on Hylan Blvd.

Staten Island, NY (June 9, 2019) – On Wednesday of this past week, around 9:35 p.m., police investigated the scene of a car accident that left two children with critical injuries.
The accident took place after the unidentified vehicle the children were in was sideswiped by another vehicle on Hylan Boulevard in the New Dorp area.
The vehicle was suddenly rammed by a Dodge Charger. There was an 8-year-old and a 10-year-old in the vehicle, both of which were taken to the Staten Island University Hospital in critical condition. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured in the crash.
The driver of the Dodge was identified as a 22-year-old woman, who was then arrested for driving with a suspended license.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident is ongoing.
