Smithtown, NY: Three People Injured in Serious Crash on Nesconset Hwy

Smithtown, NY (June 9, 2019) – On Saturday morning, June 8th, three people were injured in a serious crash that took place on the Nesconset Highway.
Suffolk County Police said that, at the time, Emily Loach had been driving her 2017 Accord on the Nesconset Highway headed east when she attempted making a right turn on the highway. She struck a 2010 Jeep traveling in the same direction as her.
The Jeep was struck with such force that it flipped over. The passengers were not injured and declined medical treatment. The crash occurred at 1:49 a.m.
20-year-old Loach was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, while her brother and a 17-year-old passenger, as well as the driver of the other vehicle, were taken to the hospital with injuries that were non-considered life-threatening.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
