Rochester, NY – Woman Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Arvine Park

Rochester, NY (June 8, 2019) – A woman who was trapped under a vehicle in a pedestrian accident on Arvine Park was freed by nearby neighbors who heard her calling for help.
The incident took place around 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5th. A neighbor heard another female neighbor calling for help and he started to run toward the voice. When he arrived at the scene, he found that a vehicle had swerved off of the roadway and into a fence, pinning the woman under it.
The witness said that the woman’s leg was pinned under the vehicle and crushed so that she could not move or get out. The vehicle had allegedly traveled down the road and was not able to stop in time.
Police confirmed that the vehicle experienced brake failure at the time of the accident. The person who was pinned had been a passenger who attempted to jump out of the car when it drove out of control into the fence.
Officers arrived and were able to help the witness lift the vehicle.
The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
