Queens, NY – Two Trapped in Rollover Accident on Cross Island Parkway

Queens, NY (June 8, 2019) – According to authorities, two people were trapped in a vehicle following a rollover accident that took place on the Cross Island Parkway.

The accident took place around 6:00 a.m. on June 5^th in the southbound lanes of the highway and involved an unmarked on-duty police cruiser. The accident led to serious injuries.

First responders arrived at the scene of the crash and extricated the two victims who were trapped inside the white van, which was badly damaged and lying on its side. They were taken to the hospital with injuries but are expected to be okay.

The state trooper involved in the accident did not have injuries. The accident investigation is ongoing at this time.
