Brooklyn, NY (June 7, 2019) – Police confirmed that a child is in stable condition following a serious pedestrian accident that took place on the Fort Hamilton Parkway.
The accident took place on Monday afternoon when the child, identified only as a 14-year-old, was crossing the parkway. The child was treated at the scene by paramedics for head trauma and then taken to the hospital.
An eyewitness said that the child was forcefully knocked down to the ground after being struck by a vehicle after crossing the street.
There was a large presence of police and emergency responders at the scene of the accident, closing down the roadway for some time. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
