New Dorp, NY: Two Girls Injured in Crash Caused by 23-Year-Old

New Dorp, NY (June 6, 2019) – A crash resulted in serious injuries sustained by a driver/father and his two young girls, ages 8 and 10, on Wednesday night, June 5th. The accident was reported to have taken place at 9:36 p.m. on Hylan Boulevard.
According to police, 23-year-old Linesha Holder, of New Springville, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation after the incident. The collision, which occurred at the intersection of Hylan Boulevard and Bryant Avenue, took place after Holder cut off the other vehicle. The preliminary investigation shows that Holder was traveling in the center lane of Hylan Boulevard in a Dodge Charger when she may have lost control before slamming into the other vehicle.
Emergency medical crews arrived at the scene, where they attended to the 50-year-old driver and the young girls in the backseat. All three victims may have suffered serious head injuries, as they were taken to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze and listed in critical condition.
