Mott Haven, NY – Woman Raped and Beaten by Young Man in the Bronx

Mott Haven, NY (June 4, 2019) – On Saturday morning, June 1st, police were called to investigate an incident in which a woman was raped and beaten inside a Bronx apartment building, according to authorities. 23-year-old Temar M. Bishop is currently believed to be the suspect who police are searching for at this time.
According to police, Bishop attacked the victim inside an apartment building located on Alexander Avenue. The suspect allegedly punched the woman repeatedly in the face, at which point he then raped her. Following the sexual assault, Bishop continued to beat the woman until she was knocked out, and then fled the scene.
Police stated that the woman suffered lacerations to her face and body, as well as a fractured nose. Bishop has been described as black, five feet, nine inches tall, and last seen wearing a black shirt with gold lettering, white sneakers, and light-colored shorts.
