Village of Horseheads, NY (June 4, 2019) – At least one person was reported to have suffered injuries after a vehicle crashed into an apartment building on Monday morning, June 3rd. The accident took place at 5:39 a.m. at the Villager Apartments located at 715 Watkins Road.
According to the village police department, officers arrived to find that a vehicle had crashed into Building B within the complex. Following an investigation, authorities determined that a man identified as Kenneth Vanamburg, of Ithaca, had been traveling south on Watkins Road when he crashed while attempting to turn right onto Westinghouse Road. Vanamburg may have lost control due to a medical episode.
Paramedics and police were called to the scene where the victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. His injuries are considered non-life threatening at this time.
