Tonawanda, NY: 64-Year-Old Woman Pedestrian Hit by Pickup Truck

Tonawanda, NY (May 29, 2019) – Police have reported on a serious pedestrian accident with a motor vehicle that left a 64-year-old woman injured on Tuesday evening, May 28th. The incident took place at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Colonial Avenue just before 6:00 p.m., according to police.
Authorities stated that Deborah Bowers, 64, of Tonawanda, was attempting to walk across Delaware Avenue when she was struck by a pickup truck. The impact of the accident caused serious injuries as police and paramedics were promptly summoned to the scene.
Emergency medical crews transported Bowers to Erie County Medical Center, where she has been listed in critical condition. She was reported to have suffered serious injuries to her head and her leg. Police stated that the driver remained at the scene and was neither speeding nor under the influence at the time of the collision.
