Upper East Side, NY – One Seriously Injured Following Chemical Spill

Upper East Side, NY (May 28, 2019) – Police stated that a large chemical spill took place on Tuesday morning, May 28th, that left one person with serious injuries. According to the FDNY, the incident happened around 7:00 a.m. in the vicinity of Madison Avenue and East 62nd Street.
Authorities said that a call concerning the spill came in just after the accident occurred, which immediately resulted in the presence of responders at the scene. The accident was reported to have involved a 25-gallon chemical spill, prompting hazmat crews to clear up the aforementioned location.
According to the FDNY, one person suffered serious injuries as a result of the spill. The severity of the victims’ injuries has been listed as non-life-threatening at this time.
