Clifton Park, NY: Auth. Release Identities/Charges for Fatal Crash

Clifton Park, NY (May 27, 2019) – Police have now provided the public with the identities of those involved in the tragic and fatal car accident that took place on Saturday, May 25^th. The accident, which was caused by a drunk driver, took place at the intersection of State Route 9 and Ushers Road.

Police have confirmed that 58-year-old Dickie R. Winn, of Cohoes, swerved out of his lane while driving drunk and subsequently struck a vehicle stopped at the aforementioned intersection. The impact of the collision killed two people and resulted in the serious injuries of three others.

The two deceased victims have now been identified as Caitlyn J. Holtzman, 32, and John A. Heneghan, 33, both of New York City. 24-year-old Julia Staples, 25-year-old Enda Crowley, and 25-year-old Luke O’Doherty were all transported to Albany Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Winn has been arrested and charged with DWI and aggravated vehicular homicide, as well as two counts of vehicular manslaughter.
