Buffalo, NY (May 27, 2019) – A serious personal injury accident between a pedestrian and a motor vehicle has left one man hospitalized as of Sunday night, May 26th. The accident was reported to have taken place around 10:15 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Amherst Street.
Buffalo Police stated that a 49-year-old man ended up in the path of a vehicle that was traveling north along Main Street at the aforementioned time. The man was struck by the car, prompting a response from police and emergency medical crews.
The victim, identified only as a man from Buffalo, was taken to Erie County Medical Center where he has been listed in critical condition. Neither the female driver or her passenger were reported to have suffered any injuries, as they remained at the scene to cooperate with authorities. No charges have been filed at this time but an investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
