Staten Island, NY: Ped Accident with Injuries at Marcy Avenue

Staten Island, NY (May 26, 2019) – This morning, police responded to the scene of a serious pedestrian accident that took place in a residential section of Huguenot.
Emergency crews were called early this morning to the intersection of Marcy and Darlington Avenues. At the time, the skies were clear and sunny. They discovered that a pedestrian had been severely injured after being struck by a vehicle.
Emergency responders found the victim bleeding heavily due to being struck. The patient, who has not yet been identified, was quickly transported to the Staten Island University Hospital. Luckily, the pedestrian is expected to make a full recovery.
Police did not release information on the driver involved.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
