Rochester, NY – Arrest Made After Fatal Hit-and-Run on South Avenue

Rochester, NY (May 26, 2019) – Police confirmed that an arrest was made following a fatal hit-and-run that took place on South Avenue on May 20th and took one life.
According to police, 60-year-old Tommy Jones was killed in the accident that took place on South Avenue.
Since the accident, 30-year-old Tiffany Rutledge was charged with leaving the scene of an accident that caused the death of another. According to officers, Rutledge had been driving a 2009 Kia when she suddenly struck Jones.
Jones had been in a pedestrian crosswalk at the time. As soon as Jones arrived at Strong Memorial Hospital, he passed away from severe trauma.
The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
