Brooklyn, NY (May 26, 2019) – Police and other emergency responders arrived at the scene of a vehicle fire that led to one fatality.
The incident took place at 1225 39th Street. Police received 911 calls for a vehicle fire at that address and quickly jumped into action.
Upon arrival, FDNY personnel worked to extinguish the car fire. While doing so, they discovered an unidentified adult male unconscious and unresponsive inside the vehicle.
Firefighters were able to pull out the male from the driver’s seat of the 2018 Accord. They have since identified him as a Hasidic Yeshiva student who tragically passed away due to trauma from the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
