Rochester, NY – Woman Hospitalized After Hit-and-Run on Central Avenue

Rochester, NY (May 25, 2019) – This morning, police responded to the scene of a serious hit-and-run accident that led to the hospitalization of one person.
Rochester Police confirmed that the accident took place on Central Avenue and that the driver of a vehicle struck the pedestrian, then fleeing the scene. The accident took place around 2:00 a.m.
Officers have confirmed, through victim and witness statements, that the driver was in a white Mercedes at the time of the accident. The victim, identified as a 54-year-old, was taken to the Strong Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Now, police are searching for the suspect who caused this accident and asking for witnesses to come forward. Their investigation continues at this time.
