Long Beach, NY: Ambulance Rollover at Int. of Monroe and East Park

Long Beach, NY (May 25, 2019) – Police responded to the scene of an ambulance rollover that took place at the intersection of Monroe Boulevard and East Park Avenue yesterday morning, May 24th.
The accident took place around 9:00 a.m. at the intersection in Long Beach. Police are not sure what caused the collision to occur, but there were damages to the ambulance, which was completely laying on its side when responders arrived at the scene.
The two drivers of the vehicles were able to get themselves out despite the damages, and police confirmed that there were luckily no parties in the ambulance at the time.
One of the drivers refused medical attention but the other driver was taken to the South Nassau Communities Hospital with injuries to his arm.
The investigation continues at this time.
