Bushnell Basin, NY: Injuries Following Traffic Collision on I-490

Bushnell Basin, NY (May 23, 2019) – A motor vehicle accident with injuries occurred on Thursday afternoon, May 23rd, subsequently resulting in the presence of both police and paramedics at the scene. Police stated that the crash took place at approximately 2:30 p.m. along Interstate 490 for reasons that have not been confirmed at this time.
According to authorities, emergency responders were summoned to the westbound lanes of I-490 at Route 96 to assist anyone who may have been hurt in the collision. After arriving at the crash site, medical crews were able to verify that at least one person suffered injuries due to the impact of the crash; however, there has been no word regarding the seriousness of those injuries.
At this time, police have not stated exactly how many people were involved in the collision, although no more than two vehicles are currently assumed to have played a role. The events that led to this accident are being investigated.
