Albany, NY – Fatal Crash on I-87 Ramp to I-90

Albany, NY (May 23, 2019) – State police were immediately called to the scene of a fatal car accident that took place on Interstate 87 on Thursday, May 23rd. The accident happened at an unspecified time in the late afternoon and there has been no word on exactly how many vehicles were involved.
Presently, the details concerning the crash are vague but police were able to report that at least one person lost their life as a result. The crash happened on the interchange that connects I-87 and I-90 for reasons that are currently under investigation. Both the I-87 north and south ramps to I-90 east were shut down as emergency responders arrived at the scene and police began an investigation.
At the scene, a mangled SUV was towed away but it is unclear as to whether or not other vehicles were involved. The interchange was reopened around 7:00 p.m. and the investigation is ongoing.
