Ramapo, NY – Two Toddlers Nearly Drown in Unsafe Property Incident

Ramapo, NY (May 22, 2019) – Two small girls were rescued after nearly drowning in a pool during an unsafe property accident that occurred on Monday, May 20^th. According to officials, the incident took place at a home located at 2 Sydell Lane at approximately 12:30 p.m.

Police stated that the two girls, ages 2 and 3, had to be rescued after falling into a pool which may not have been properly fenced off. A call came in concerning the victims who were initially reported as unresponsive. An individual at the home who has CPR training was able to pull the girls from the water and begin life-saving compressions.

First responders arrived at the scene to find both the girls removed from the pool. The victims were not fully breathing but maintained steady pulses as medical crews worked to assist them. They were transported to Westchester Medical Center via ambulance but their current conditions have not been provided at this time.
