Valley Stream, NY – Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Arkansas Drive

Valley Stream, NY (May 18, 2019) – On Wednesday around 2:40 p.m., a fatal pedestrian accident took place on Arkansas Drive that took the life of a pedestrian.

A 47-year-old female driver was backing out of a driveway on Arkansas Drive when she suddenly struck a female victim. The victim was walking on the sidewalk at the time.

When the driver realized what happened, she stopped and called the police. The victim has since been identified as 62-year-old Sarwari Tabassum.

Tabassum suffered severe injuries to the head and was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.
