Watertown, NY – Teen Charged with Sexual Abuse of 10-Year-Old Girl

Watertown, NY (May 16, 2019) – Police announced the arrest of a teenager for the alleged sexual abuse of a child under the age of 11-years-old. According to authorities, 17-year-old Devon M. Paul, of 22662 Lewis Street, was arrested on Monday, May 13th, on charges related to having sexual contact with a 10-year-old girl.
Police stated that Paul allegedly engaged in sexual contact with the child victim back on April 24th; however, they did not elaborate on the nature of the offense. City police have now charged Paul with felony first-degree sexual abuse, as well as first-degree criminal sex act.
Paul was arrested and held pending arraignment in court later that day but police have not released information concerning whether or not he posted bail. No further details have been released at this time.
