Midland Beach, NY – Pedestrian Injured in Collision with MTA Bus in Staten Island

Midland Beach, NY (May 16, 2019) – At approximately 7:08 a.m. on Thursday, May 16th, a female pedestrian was reported to have suffered at least minor injuries after a collision with an MTA bus. The incident took place along Midland Avenue near Baden Place, according to authorities.
Several police vehicles responded to the incident along with the FDNY after a woman was reported to have been hit by a SIM6 MTA express bus. Authorities have stated that the woman was struck by the rear end of the bus and that it’s possible that she had walked into the vehicle for reasons that have not been determined at this time.
Paramedics confirmed that the victim was immediately taken to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze to be treated for her injuries. No further information has been reported.
