Hudson, NY – Man Indicted for Sexually Abusing Child Under 5-Years-Old

Hudson, NY (May 17, 2019) – A man from Columbia County has been arrested and arraigned on charges of sexual abuse against a child on Thursday, May 16, in Hudson. 47-year-old Jamel Crumedy, of Hudson, has been accused of sexually abusing a child multiple times over a period of several months, according to authorities.

The Hudson Police Department has been in charge of the investigation and determined that the victim was under the age of 5-years-old when the abuse occurred. Crumedy was indicted on the second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, as well as five counts each of first-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.

Crumedy had a bail bondsman who posted his $50,000 bail on Thursday. At this time, the Hudson Police Department is investigating the possibility of there being even more victims. Anyone who may have any information concerning this case is being asked to call 518-828-3388.
