Syracuse, NY (May 15, 2019) – According to the New York Department of Transportation, I-81 northbound ramp to I-690 eastbound was closed down due to a motor vehicle accident with injuries that occurred on Wednesday morning, May 15th. The accident was reported to have occurred at approximately 6:32 a.m., according to Onondaga County 911 dispatchers.
Authorities stated that at least one vehicle was involved in a crash along the interstate that resulted in unspecified injuries. Emergency medical crews were summoned to the scene along with police where they confirmed that a vehicle crashed into a guardrail for unknown reasons. At least one person suffered injuries in the crash. However, the condition of the victim has not been verified.
The events that led to this accident and whether or not any other vehicles were involved are currently under investigation at this time.
