West Seneca, NY (May 13, 2019) – The victim who sadly died in a motor vehicle accident involving six people on Sunday morning, May 12th, has been identified by authorities. Police stated that the accident, which occurred at around 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Langner Road and Fisher Road claimed the life of 17-year-old Tyler Wackowski, of Sloan.
The accident was reported to have involved one vehicle and resulted in the injuries of five other passengers. According to authorities, speed and intoxication are being investigated as possible contributing factors, as the vehicle involved was in flames when responders arrived and empty liquor containers and beer cans were found at the scene. Wackowski was pronounced deceased at the crash site.
Police stated that the other five passengers, identified only as a group of West Seneca residents between the ages of 17 and 18, were transported to the hospital. The passengers’ injuries were described as non-life threatening and all have since been released from the hospital, with the exception of one 17-year-old girl.
