Chazy Lake, NY – Bus Accident on State Route 374 Causes Injuries

Chazy Lake, NY (May 12, 2019) – On Friday, a bus driver attempted to avoid a bus accident with a pickup truck that crossed over the line on State Route 374 but was not able to.
82-year-old Wayne Ashline received cuts on his hands in the accident, which took place around 10:15 a.m. A passenger on the bus, identified as 64-year-old John Welch, sustained a right broken leg.
The driver of the pickup truck was identified as a 33-year-old, who had been in a Ford F-150 that crossed over the line for reasons that are not yet known.
The injured parties were taken to the hospital for treatment. Police continue to look into the circumstances leading up to the accident that caused the pickup truck to cross the center line.
