Ronkonkoma, NY: 14yr Old Struck in Bicycle Accident

Ronkonkoma, NY (May 11, 2019) – Police responded to the scene of a bicycle accident on Ronkonkoma Avenue last night around 7:00 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle.
The child, identified as a 14-year-old, was leaving the Raynor Beach County Park when he was suddenly struck by a Honda near the area of Wills Avenue, according to authorities.
The teen was taken to the Stony Brook University Hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The Honda driver did not receive injuries.
Police are searching for more information and are investigating at this time.
