Staten Island, NY: Four Injured in Rollover With Delivery Truck

Staten Island, NY (May 10, 2019) – A car flipped over in Castleton Corners, close to the entrance and exit to the Staten Island Expressway on Thursday morning, May 9th, and resulted in the injuries of four people, according to the FDNY. The crash was reported to have specifically occurred at the intersection of Slosson Avenue and Lortel Avenue around 7:15 a.m.
The accident happened as a gray Hyundai SUV overturned at the aforementioned intersection. According to police, a delivery truck was involved in the crash; however, the exact events that led to the incident remain under investigation. Following the crash, a large NYPD and FDNY response ensued.
Emergency medical crews transported all four victims to Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton. One of the victims is currently expected to recover from injuries that were classified as serious, while two others suffered rather minor injuries. The condition of the fourth victim has not been reported at this time.
