Dansville: Man Charged with Sexual Assault of Child; 11-Years-Old

Dansville, NY (May 9, 2019) – Following an investigation, a man has been placed under arrest for the sexual abuse of a child. Police announced the arrest of Cody Harcleroad, 22, of Geneseo, on Monday, May 6th, according to authorities.
Harcleroad has been charged with predatory sexual assault, forcible touching, criminal sexual act, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. According to police, an investigation into allegations of abuse showed that Harcleroad had engaged in sexual contact with a child victim under the age of 11-years-old. The incident as reported to have happened at a home in Dansville in December 2018.
At this time, authorities have not released the identity of the victim, nor any further details regarding the nature of the abuse. Harcleroad is currently being held in Livingston County Jail without bail but no further information has been provided.
