Suffern, NY (May 8, 2019) – On Tuesday evening, May 7th, police responded to a pedestrian accident that was reported to have happened in front of the Salvation Army on Lafayette Avenue. The accident took place around 7:00 p.m. and occurred for reasons that have not been determined at this time.
Police stated that an unidentified person was hit by a vehicle along the aforementioned road, resulting in the presence of emergency medical crews at the scene. The injured pedestrian was confirmed to have suffered injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. The extent of the injuries, however, has not been verified.
Lafayette Avenue was closed down for an unspecified duration of time as police began their investigation, which is currently ongoing. No further information has been provided.
