Schenectady, NY – Motorcyclist Injured in Collision with Vehicle

Schenectady, NY (May 7, 2019) – A collision between a car and a motorcycle occurred on Monday night, May 6^th, and resulted in at least minor injuries, according to police. Authorities stated that the accident took place at around 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of Union Street and Garner Avenue.

Police reported that 25-year-old Tyler Herbst, of Schenectady, was traveling west along Union Street on a motorcycle as a vehicle, operated by 31-year-old Racquel Adams, also of Schenectady, was traveling east and attempted to make a turn onto Garner Avenue. Adams had subsequently turned into the path of Herbst on his motorcycle, triggering the collision.

Emergency medical crews accompanied police at the scene where Herbst was transported to Ellis Hospital for treatment. His injuries were reported to be relatively minor at this time. Adams was issued a ticket for failure to yield the right of way, but no further information has been released.
