Groveland, NY (May 8, 2019) – A serious crash in Livingston County was reported to have resulted in the injuries of five people including a sheriff’s deputy on Tuesday afternoon, May 7th. According to police, the two-vehicle accident took place around 3:00 p.m. on Route 408.
Sheriff’s deputies stated that a patrol cruiser collided with a minivan along the aforementioned road near Groveland Station Road for reasons that have not been confirmed. The minivan, which was carrying four occupants, was reported to have gone off the road due to the impact of the collision. Police and emergency medical crews were quickly dispatched to the scene.
Authorities stated that all five parties involved in the crash were promptly transported to a nearby hospital. The current conditions of the victims have not been reported at this time. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
