Staten Island, NY (May 6, 2019) – A man from Mariners Harbor was arrested after allegedly raping a woman while she was asleep in her basement apartment located in West Brighton, according to authorities. 26-year-old Errick Harvie, of Lockman Avenue, was arrested on April 30th, following the incident which was reported to have happened around 5:00 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 21st.
According to authorities, Harvie entered the victim’s apartment in the area of Broadway and Delafield Avenue and began to sexually abuse her. The victim, identified only as a 23-year-old woman, woke up to Harvie having sex with her, according to a criminal complaint that was filed after the incident.
Authorities stated that prior to the alleged rape, the victim and Harvie knew each other. Harvie has been charged rape, as well as sexual abuse, forcible touching, burglary, and criminal trespass.
