Fort Edward, NY – 52-Year-Old Man Killed in Early Morning Crash

Fort Edward, NY (May 6, 2019) – A crash that took place on early Monday morning, May 6th, was tragically reported to have resulted in the death of a 52-year-old man from Hudson Falls. According to authorities, the accident happened along Burgoyne Avenue at an unspecified time for reasons that have not been confirmed.
Investigators stated that Andrew Willig was traveling south along the aforementioned road in a 2016 Chevrolet truck when the vehicle left the roadway. The Chevrolet struck a tree head-on, resulting in serious damages and severe injuries. Emergency medical crews were called to the scene with police to assist the victim.
Unfortunately, Willig was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash, according to the Sheriff’s Office. No further details have been released as police are actively investigating the events that led to this incident.
