Staten Island, NY – Motorist Injured in Car Accident on Clove Road

Staten Island, NY (May 5, 2019) – Around 4:20 p.m. yesterday afternoon, authorities responded to the scene of a car accident on Clove Road that led to injuries in one party.
Police say that the accident took place when the motorist was involved in an accident and plowed into the pole on Clove Road. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the vehicle, a blue Subaru, with a variety of damages near the intersection of Clove Road and Richmond Road.
EMS was called to the scene and an ambulance transported the driver to the Staten Island University Hospital with injuries. They are expected to recover.
Traffic was backed up in the area for quite some time, as police closed off the road after the crash. The vehicle was badly damaged. Nobody else was injured in the crash.
At this time, the Collision Investigation Squad continues their investigation.
