Sleepy Hollow, NY – 13-Year-Old Critically Injured in Pedestrian Crash

Sleepy Hollow, NY (May 4, 2019) – Around 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident on Beekman Avenue and Andrews Lane.
The accident that took place in the intersection occurred when a 13-year-old girl was attempting to walk across the road when she was suddenly struck by a vehicle that was traveling east.
The teen was transported to the Westchester Medical Center in critical condition. She has since been listed in stable condition as of Thursday evening and could make a full recovery.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the teen was identified as a 27-year-old woman from Tarrytown. She remained on scene and police have not yet stated why the accident happened or whether she was intoxicated at the time.
The accident remains under an active investigation at this time.
