Mount Sinai, NY: Man Crashed Vehicle into Rose Caracappa Center

Mount Sinai, NY (May 4, 2019) – Suffolk County Police arrived at the scene of a car accident where a man ran into the Rose Caracappa Senior Center on North Ocean Avenue.

The accident took place when Bruce Brant was driving his Mazda 3 on the roadway and failed to stop when the road came to an end. He then crashed into the senior center on 739 Route 25A around 12:25 a.m. on Tuesday.

The vehicle came to a stop when it ended up inside the building. Brant had to be extricated from the vehicle and was immediately transported to the John T. Mather Hospital. He was treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Police are still working to dictate what circumstances led up to the accident.
