Westchester County, NY: Elderly Person Injured in Rollover Crash

Westchester County, NY (May 1, 2019) – At approximately 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, May 1st, an elderly person was reported to have suffered injuries after driving off the side of the Hutchinson Parkway. According to police in Westchester County, the driver of the vehicle involved went off the roadway, up a rocky hill, and back down, ultimately rolling their vehicle, for reasons that have not been confirmed.
Following the accident, the vehicle flipped over but landed on its wheels. Nevertheless, emergency medical crews were called to the scene, where they transported the injured driver to Westchester County Medical Center to be treated for at least minor injuries.
According to 511, traffic was backed up into Mamaroneck as the right lane of the roadway was blocked for approximately one hour. The official cause of the crash is actively being investigated, as no further details have been provided.
