Buffalo, NY: Two Police Officers Hospitalized Following Crash

Buffalo, NY (May 2, 2019) – The Buffalo Police Department confirmed a motor vehicle accident that resulted in the injuries of two officers on Wednesday night, May 1st. The collision was reported to have taken place at the intersection of Fillmore Avenue and Delavan Avenue around 11:40 p.m.

According to authorities, a Buffalo police patrol vehicle was in the process of responding to a call when it collided with another vehicle at the aforementioned intersection. Two police officers were in the patrol car at the time of the crash, which prompted responses from emergency medical crews.

Paramedics at the scene were able to confirm that both officers had suffered injuries and were quickly taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment. The conditions of the officers are considered non-life-threatening at this time. There has been no word concerning the occupant(s) of the other vehicle involved and the investigation is currently ongoing.
