Bethlehem, NY – Woman Arrested in Nursing Home Abuse Incident

Bethlehem, NY (May 1, 2019) – A 32-year-old woman from Troy has been arrested for allegedly mistreating a disabled person who was in her care at the time. The arrest was announced on Wednesday, May 1st after police were able to credibly accuse Tracey-Ann Gardner of abuse while working at the Center for Disability Services located in Delmar.

According to authorities, Gardner is accused of mistreating a physically disabled individual, which ultimately led to physical injuries sustained by the resident. Police stated that Gardner is also accused of entering false records in order to conceal the actual nature of what had occurred.

Gardner has been arrested and was arraigned in the Town of Bethlehem Court on felony charges of endangering the welfare of a physically disabled or incompetent person, as well as falsifying business records and one misdemeanor count of assault.
