North Merrick, NY (May 1, 2019) – Wednesday morning, May 1st, a van carrying 14 children was reported to have been involved in a crash on the Southern State Parkway, according to police. The collision was stated to have occurred at approximately 10:00 a.m. at the onramp to the Meadowbrook Parkway.
According to authorities, both police and emergency medical crews were called to the scene of an accident between a van and a car at the aforementioned location. Paramedics immediately arrived at the crash site to assist any injured parties and were able to confirm that all 14 children, as well as four adults, were promptly transported to a local hospital. All injuries appear to be rather minor at this time.
