Staten Island, NY: Rollover in Intersection of Richmond Ave / Morani

Staten Island, NY (April 28, 2019) – Police responded to the scene of a rollover accident that took place this afternoon around 3:23 p.m. at the intersection of Richmond Avenue and Morani Street.
The accident involved a Chevy Sonic LT, which had damage on both sides of the vehicle and deployed airbags at the scene of the crash. Emergency responders were forced to remove the injured driver from their vehicle for medical help.
One witness on the scene said that the vehicle was involved in an accident and flipped over into the median on the side of the road.
The driver, whose name has not yet been released, was transported to the Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton with injuries but is expected to be okay.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
