Staten Island, NY: Injuries Reported After Vehicle Overturns

Staten Island, NY (April 26, 2019) – One person was left with injuries after their vehicle overturned during a car accident that took place on Friday afternoon, April 26^th, according to police. The accident happened at 3:26 p.m. when the FDNY received a call concerning a possible trauma patient on Drumgoole Road in Arden Heights.

According to authorities, a Mazda CX-5 sustained extensive front and driver-side damage after it overturned along the aforementioned roadway near Carlton Boulevard. Emergency responders were quickly summoned to the scene, where they found one injured party and debris scattered along the road. It is not clear as to whether or not another vehicle was involved in the crash at this time.

A spokesman for the FDNY confirmed that the injured victim was immediately taken to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze to be treated. However, there has been no word concerning the extent of the victims’ injuries.

Authorities are likely to be investigating the events that led to this incident.
