Cortlandt, NY: Several Hospitalized After Head-on Crash

Cortlandt, NY (April 27, 2019) – Around 7:00 a.m. on Monday, April 22nd, several people were injured in a serious head-on crash that took place on Red Mill Road.
Various emergency responders arrived at the scene of the accident to offer aid, including the Mohegan Fire Department, New York State Police, Putnam Valley Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and many more.
EMS services reported that one person was treated at the scene of the accident and various other patients, who have not yet been identified, were transported to a local trauma center for treatment of their serious injuries. Their condition is not yet known.
The crash completely destroyed the two vehicles involved, which were identified as a white van and a dark-colored SUV. The accident was so severe that it temporarily shut down the roadway as police investigated.
The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
